SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

PURPOSE

    To provide four (4) $500.00 scholarships for financial assistance toward the pursuit of a college education.

    To promote the study, development, and application of Purchasing Management and Materials Management, including improved procurement of purchasing methods and practices, and all matters related.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Applicant Must Be:

    A member or child of a (full) and/or (associate) member in good standing of the NAPM of Greater Syracuse, Inc. The child must be a dependent of the member and the parent (guardian) must be providing the primary means of support for said child.

    Pursuing an education in an accredited higher educational institution at undergraduate level in a matriculation program.

    At least a senior in high school.

    Notify NAPM of Greater Syracuse Inc. Scholarship Committee, in writing by April 14, if they are requesting to be considered a candidate for the scholarships

    Submit a completed NAPM of Greater Syracuse, Inc. Scholarship Request Form.

    Intend to use the scholarship within one (1) year of its award.

    Awarded to an individual only once, however, eligibility remains as long as the applicant meets the qualifications.

SELECTION

    The selectees will be chosen by a lottery drawing from the accepted qualified applicants, under the direction of the Scholarship Committee.

    The successful candidate will be notified by mail of their selection.

    Alternate selectees will also be determined.

AFFILIATE MISSION STATEMENT

    The successful candidates will be awarded their scholarship certificates at the general membership meeting held in May.
